In John Chapter 10 Jesus / Yeshua describes Himself as…
John 5:42: If God is love, do you have love? Part 1/2
But I know you,
that ye have not the love of God in you.
John 5:42
.
This is part 1 of 2 part series on the love of God
No one goes through life without contemplating “God” and love. That is because He placed within human awareness that “He is” and the innate need to love and be loved.
Romans 8:16
The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
But where is He?
It seems that all but a few find “God” elusive; but the fault for that is not His.
2 Corinthians 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
How do we find God?
So how do we connect with God? How do find what so many seem to have either lost or never found?
As expressed in the Rom. 8:16 above, God is Spirit, and we too are spirit beings.
But there is more; much more. Obviously, from Rom 8:16 we see that God is Spirit; but 1 John 4:8 tells us that God is also love. Among other things, God is the Spirit of Love.
Love holds all things together
Colossians 3:14 (KJV)
…Above all these things put on charity (God’s kind of love), which is the bond of perfectness.
Colossians 3:14 (AMP)
…Above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony].
Love is the key that connects us to God, Spirit to spirit. Love is what makes the world go around. Love is what binds the world together and makes it complete.
You are loved.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith He loved us,
Ephesians 2:4
Unfortunately most of us have so many barriers erected that it is difficult for us to receive God’s love; it is difficult for God’s love (and in many cases anyone else’s) to make it’s way through all of the obstacles.
These barriers are not necessarily our fault; but nevertheless they are still there, creating difficulty in our lives, keeping us separated from God.
To know God is to know love. To know love is to know God. To know God is to know life.
God’s love, all of it, with all that it includes, with all of His provision, with all of His forgiveness, with all of His fullness, is waiting to be received.
Much more is included in this most insightful message that can adjust the very foundations of life to put you on solid ground. You can listen to the complete audio recording below.
