John 5:43-47; Walking in the name and authority of Jesus

A lot of times we sense things in our spirit that we don’t even understand. The Bible speaks of this in

Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Many years ago, while dealing with some pretty significant challenges, I was talking to someone about them and even though I was walking with God to the best of my knowledge and ability, I said “ I feel like a pawn”.

Eventually I learned more about the spirit realm.  Only then did I understood that the reason I felt like a pawn during those very trying circumstances is because that is exactly what I was; a pawn being moved around by the devil preparing to be sacrificed for the next move.

I was a Christian, I was even a “Pastor”; but I didn’t have a clue about what it meant to walk in the name, power and authority of Jesus.

In this teaching Parson Rayphe talks about how many speak only on their own authority.  But if you are a child of God then you have authority to speak in the Name of Jesus.  The “church” has been given delegated the same authority that Yeshua had while He was walking the earth.
